Donna's First Penta-Hut
The 1st hut built by World Harmony Project was used as a portable
shelter for the office and ticket booth at the 2nd Festival of World
Music and Culture.
It consisted of 2x2" framing, held together with hubs and bolts.
This was covered with Clear plastic sheeting for the roof, and screen
around the sides.
Donna bought the frame materials from World Harmony Project,
when our 7 year lease
was up and could not be renewed.
She brought it to her home in
Ocala, Florida and used the same construction techniques as we had used
for Jeff's house, including the cupola roof.
Being the daughter of an artist
extraordinaire, it was decorated somewhat elaborately.
This hut was used as a hang-out
space for her growing family.
Materials
Built with 2X2 framing,
plywood sheathing, water-sealing wood stain, latex paint and tar roll
roofing. All wood was pressure treated pine and fir.
